Summarize Group Discussion Introduction

Summarize Group Discussion is a speaking and listening task. You will listen to a discussion between three people, then summarise the discussion in your own words.

This task rewards active listening, note-taking and organised speaking. A strong answer should capture the main topic, the speakers’ key views and the overall direction of the discussion.

这个题重点考主动听力、笔记和总结能力。高分回答需要说清楚讨论主题、不同说话人的主要观点，以及讨论的整体方向。

What to focus on

• Listen for the topic and each speaker’s position.
• Take notes on opinions, reasons and agreements or disagreements.
• Summarise instead of repeating every sentence.
• Use a clear structure and speak fluently.
