HIW 高频 High-frequency

Highlight Incorrect Words (HIW) is a PTE Listening task that requires you to follow a written transcript while listening to a recording. Some words in the transcript are different from what the speaker says, and you need to identify and select those incorrect words.

This course contains selected high-frequency HIW materials designed to improve listening accuracy, concentration, tracking speed, and recognition of common distractors. Follow the transcript at the speaker’s pace, avoid reading too far ahead, and pay close attention to substituted words, similar-sounding words, word forms, and missing information.

If you lose your place, do not stop. Return to the current part of the recording as quickly as possible. Regular focused practice will help you react faster and maintain accuracy throughout the task.
