Respond to a Situation Introduction

Respond to a Situation is a speaking task. You will listen to and read a short situation, then give an extended spoken response explaining what you would say in that situation.

A strong response should be relevant, appropriate and complete. You need to understand the situation, identify your role, choose the right tone, and give a clear response within the time limit.

中文说明：Respond to a Situation 是 2025 更新后加入的口语题。你会听到并看到一个情景描述，然后回答在这个情景中你会怎么说。

这个题不是自由聊天。你需要理解场景、判断自己的身份和说话对象，使用合适语气，并给出完整、相关、自然的回答。

What to focus on

• Identify the situation, your role and the listener.
• Use an appropriate tone: polite, clear and direct.
• Answer the exact question in the prompt.
• Keep speaking smoothly for a complete response.

练习重点

• 先判断场景、身份和沟通对象。
• 语气要礼貌、清楚、符合情景。
• 直接回答题目要求，不要跑题。
• 控制时间，说完整但不要绕太远。
