Summarise Spoken Text (SST) assesses your ability to understand an academic recording, identify its main ideas, take effective notes, and produce a clear written summary. A strong response should accurately present the central topic and important supporting points in a logical and grammatically correct paragraph.

This course contains selected high-frequency SST recordings for focused exam preparation. While listening, record keywords, relationships, examples, causes, effects, and the speaker’s main conclusion. After listening, organise your notes before writing instead of simply copying disconnected words.

Use the reference answers and key points to review your understanding and improve your summary structure. Regular practice will strengthen your listening comprehension, note-taking, information selection, grammar, and academic writing.
